1. Students should follow all established school rules. Handbook policies will be strictly enforced.

- 1st lateness -- warning
- 2nd lateness -- 15 minute teacher detention
- 3rd lateness -- phone call to parents and detention
- 4th lateness -- meeting with teachers

- Passes should be asked for bathroom/locker needs during the first or last 5 minutes
- Agendas should be used when leaving the class
- Come to class will all required materials
- Upon entering every class, students will being warm up in notebook.
Grading Policies
Major Grading Practices:
80/20 Ratio:
*At least 80% of the grade will be made up of summative assessments.
* No more than 20% of the grade will be made up of formative assessments.
No-Opt Out:
*Students are required to complete all major summative assessments.
* A zero does not give any information or feedback to the student or teacher.
*An incomplete (I) will be given until work has been submitted.
Revisions:
*Students will be allowed to revise summative assessments after feedback has been given by the teacher. (See the revision contract below)
Lateness:
*It is the expectation that work is to be handed in on time. A grade deduction will not be given for late work since the grade is a reflection of achievement.
Revision Policy
In order for students to have the best opportunity to succeed, all students have the ability to revise or redo any assignment. The following guidelines will be enforced in order for a student to be allowed to revise or redo an assignment. Any of the guidelines may be adjusted at the discretion of the content teacher.

- Student must get the retake/redo contract signed by a parent.
- If deemed necessary, the student must attend extra help session (before/after school) to receive extra help or more individualized instruction.
- If deemed necessary, the student must complete appropriate additional assignment given by teacher during extra help session.
- Students will re-take an assessment when ready before or after school by appointment only. If student misses appointment, student’s parent will be notified about it.
- Assessment re-takes will cover the same exact material as the original, but the format may be different. This is at the discretion of the content teacher.
- The re-take and original will both be looked at to see the student’s growth of knowledge and the content teacher will use his or her judgment to adjust the grade.
- All revisions or redos are due ONE WEEK from the date the assignment was handed back. This Date will be written on the assessment.
- Any revision or redo of an assignment must be completed one week prior to the close of a marking period in order for the teacher to calculate it into a student’s grade.
